NIHR Organizes a Videoconference Lecture on International Human Rights Instruments, in Cooperation with “FORAS” Program

As part of the training program in the area of human rights organized by the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) in cooperation with the “FORAS” Program, the NIHR held a videoconference lecture on "International Human Rights Instruments" presented by Dr. Malallah Al-Hammadi, Chairman of the NIHR Committee on Visiting Places of Detention and Facilities.

During the lecture, Dr. Al-Hammadi touched on the mechanisms concerned with human rights, their types, and the specializations entrusted to them, and provided an explanation on international human rights instruments, the extent of the accession or ratification of the Kingdom of Bahrain to them and the mechanism for submitting reports on human rights.

This lecture is based on the NIHR’s role in spreading a culture of human rights among the various society groups in accordance with national and international standards, and its belief in the importance of strategic partnership with various parties, with the aim of developing the participants’ skills in research, analysis and critical thinking in the area of human rights.
