NIHR Organizes a Training Event on “Advocacy Campaigns”

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in cooperation with Embassy of the Netherlands and the Kuwait Human Rights Society, organized at its Headquarters in the Seef District the third event of the Program of Youth Leaders for Peace and Human Rights entitled “Advocacy Campaigns”, which was presented by the Expert in Human Rights Mr. Kamal Al-Mashriki,

The third event aimed to familiarize the participants with the concept of advocacy by defining advocacy and showing the difference between advocacy activity and lobbying strategies, as well as the art of influencing individuals, collective decision-making or policy-making in order to make a positive change in a particular issue or situation, in addition to how to identify and select the issue of advocacy and the elements that should be available in it, which won audience interaction and participation.
