NIHR receives 12th Batch of Legal Clinic Students at Bahrain University

As part of its role in disseminating and promoting a culture of awareness of the respect for human rights among the members of society, and in order to activate the principle of community partnership with the educational institutions, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) received the 12th batch of students of the Legal Clinic and Human Rights Program of the University of Bahrain at its Training Center in its headquarters in Seef district.

The program was opened by Mrs. Latifa Al Jalahma, Director of Legal Affairs and Training, who welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of this national program, which will contribute to increasing the human rights and legal awareness of the students.  She gave a detailed explanation of the training mechanism at the Legal Clinic, stressing that the NIHR will spare no efforts to provide all possible means to develop the legal and human rights capacities of our deal students in accordance with the applicable rules.

The program, which extends to May 2019, two days per week, will be attended by a number of specialized staff in this field.  A number of students selected by the Legal Clinic at the University of Bahrain will participate in the program.
