German Ambassador received at NIHR

The Chairman of the National Institution of Human Rights, Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, received German Ambassador to Bahrain, Ambassador Alfred Simms-Protz, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef District.

Dr. Abul thanked the Ambassador for the visit and expressed the NIHR’s desire to engender cooperation between the two sides, especially in the field of exchanging expertise, training, and workshops for the promotion and protection of human rights.

The Ambassador thanked the NIHR and praised its role in society and its role in promoting human rights. He also praised the NIHR for their Second Annual Report for 2014, and expressed his readiness to provide all support for it to achieve its objectives and terms of reference.

The meeting was attended by NIHR Vice-President Abdullah Ahmad Alderazi; Chairperson of the Committee on Civil and Political Rights Jamila Ali Salman; Chairperson of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee, Maria Khoury and Assistant Secretary-General and Acting Secretary-General of the NIHR, Yasser Ghanem Shaheen.
