NIHR organizes a Roundtable Event for the Legal Clinic and Human Rights Program

Within the framework of its role in the promotion of the human rights principles and its vision of preparing national cadre in the human rights area, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in collaboration with Faculty of Law at the University of Bahrain, organized a roundtable event for the Legal Clinic and Human Rights Program at the NIHR’s Training Center, which was attended by about 40 male and female students in addition to a number of officials at the NIHR’s Secretariat General and Program supervisors from the University of Bahrain.

During the event, the NIHR students gave detailed presentations on the subjects in which they participated during their training period at the NIHR, which included practical applications of dialogue skills and the exchange of relevant ideas and information, in addition to the NIHR’s role in the protection of human rights.  These were intervened various discussions between the students and attendees on the proposed scientific material.

This event is part of NIHR’s Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Bahrain to support the Legal Clinic and Human Rights Program, which aims to add practical skills to law students through hands-on training that enables them to link academic education with practical reality and develop their legal and human rights capabilities.
