NIHR Receives Head of Political and Economic Affairs at the US Embassy

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), emphasized the NIHR’s role, tasks and responsibilities in order to promote and protect human rights, consolidate their values, spread awareness of them and contribute to ensuring their free and independent exercise in the Kingdom of Bahrain, according to its broad powers stated by its Establishment Law.

This was during his meeting with Mrs. Elizabeth Hatting, Head of Political and Economic Affairs at the US Embassy to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district, where he welcomed her and reviewed with her a number of issues of human rights and the NIHR’s role in addressing them.

For her part, Mrs. Hatting extended her thanks for the warm reception, stating the importance of the NIHR’s role in protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
