NIHR participates in Workshops on Reports of International Committees on the Rights of the Child

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), represented by Dr. Houria Hassan, Member of the NIHR Council of Commissioners, Commissioner for the Rights of the Child, participated in a workshop organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the British Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, entitled "Reports of International Committees on the Right of the Child".

During the workshop, the attendants reviewed best practices in writing UN reports and the new procedures adopted by the Human Rights Council related to preparing reports.

The workshop was held with the participation of Ambassador Dr. Yusuf Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director-General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Ministry, as well as representatives of ministries, government agencies and civil society institutions concerned with the rights of the child.  It was presented by Mr. Paula Jack and Mr. Stephen Burnside, experts from the UK NICO.
