NIHR Receives Participants in Course on Judgments Execution and Alternative Sanctions

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has received a number of participants in the first joint course on modern methods of implementing judgments and alternative sanctions organised by the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district.


In the first theme of the lecture, Mrs. Rawdha Al-Aradi, Head of the NIHR Committee on Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up, and Mrs. Latifa Al-Jalahma, Director of the NIHR Legal Affairs and Training Department, gave a presentation on the NIHR’s role in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.  The second theme of the lecture discussed the activation of the mechanism for implementing alternative sanctions and measures for convicts whose sentences were replaced by alternative ones, as well as for those who have completed the alternative sanctions programme.


At the end of the lecture, the participants raised their observations and suggestions, as well as a number of questions related to the details of implementing judgments and alternative sanctions, and exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.
