Al Fadhel: NIHR trained more than 400 people during the 1st quarter of 2019

Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel, Secretary General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), said that the number of beneficiaries of the NIHR’s training programs during the first quarter of this year has reached more than 400 people.  The groups benefiting from the training and educational programs included law enforcement people, academic, advisory and trade union bodies, civil society organizations, youth, students of public and private schools and universities, human rights defenders, private and commercial institutions and beneficiaries of the special program for cooperation with National Security Agency, which targets the training of 200 members of the Agency.

Dr. Al Fadhel stated that the NIHR is constantly working to improve quality in accordance with the best human rights practices to ensure the maximum benefit of those programs, which reflect positively on the trainees and the bodies they represent.  Those programs, which are the main gateway to the promotion of the culture of human rights for all groups of the society, are implemented by a number of cadres specialized in the legal and human rights field, in order to achieve the objectives of the international, regional and national human rights mechanisms that promote human rights education in accordance with the best human rights practices.
