NIHR hosts a Delegation of Johns Hopkins University Students

As part of its constant efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experiences with various local, regional and international academic institutions, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in coordination with the Supreme Council for Women, received a delegation of Johns Hopkins University students during their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to learn about its experience in the area of women advancement.

The NIHR’s Secretariat-General, within its program to promote and disseminate the culture of human rights, prepared a comprehensive introductory lecture for the visiting delegation on the NIHR’s role in the promotion and protection of Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the developments witnessed by the Kingdom in this area in general and the empowerment of women in particular.  The lecture was presented by Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadel, NIHR’s Secretary-General, and Mrs. Fatima Al-Tareef, Head of NIHR’s Training and Education unit.

The delegation was also briefed on the mechanism of action at the NIHR’s Call Center and Complaints Reception Desk, expressing its admiration for the service provided by the NIHR through the inauguration of the free hotline (80001144), praising the NIHR’s important role as a national mechanism for the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
