NIHR and the University of Huddersfield in Britain Discuss Strengthening Joint Cooperation

Ms. Maria Khoury Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Dr. Mustafa El-Kadi, Project Manager at the University of Huddersfield in Britain, in the presence of Mrs. Latifa Al-Jalahma, NIHR Legal Affairs and Training Department Director, at the NIHR’s headquarters in Seef district.

Ms. Khoury welcomed Dr. Al-Kadi and gave him an overview of the NIHR’s role in the promotion of human rights culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain through training and educational programs provided by the NIHR in partnership with civil society organizations and academic institutions.

The two sides touched on the means of coordination and cooperation between the NIHR and the University of Huddersfield through setting up a joint mechanism for cooperation and coordination between them, especially with regard to the institutional building represented in promoting and disseminating the culture of human rights, where Ms. Khoury emphasized the NIHR’s full support and encouragement for educational and academic process.

For his part, Dr. Al-Kadi valued the NIHR’s contributions and keenness to promote and develop a culture of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing the university’s desire for cooperation between the two sides in a way that contributes to supporting and enriching the institutional academic process.
