NIHR Participates in the 6th International Conference on the Protection of Human Rights in Eurasia

The Secretariat-General of the National Human Rights Institution (NIHR) has participated via video-conference technology in the 6th International Conference on the Protection of Human Rights in Eurasia, under the theme “The Protection of Human Rights in Eurasia: Exchange of Best Practices of Ombudspersons”, which was held by the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation in Moscow.

The conference discussed national and international practices on issues related to the protection of youth rights, with an emphasis on ensuring their rights to access education, work and housing, in addition to the importance of supporting youth in the development of entrepreneurship and their participation in voluntary activities and giving them ample opportunities to participate in the formation and construction of the State.

The conference was held with the participation of a number of representatives of national human rights institutions around the world, as well as a representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), in order to exchange the best practices and listen to the experiences of other institutions and bodies to enrich expertise among international governmental and non-governmental organisations operating in the field of human rights, in addition to representatives of the academic and scientific community for the protection of human rights.
