Inspector-General at Ministry of Interior receives NIHR’s President
HE Major General Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Inspector General at the Ministry of Interior, received Ms. Maria Khouri, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR). The meeting was attended by Mr. Khalid Abdul-Aziz Al-Shaer, NIHR’s Vice Chairperson.
The Inspector-General welcomed NIHR’s Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, noting the NIHR’s role in disseminating and promoting human rights culture and dealing with human rights issues in accordance with its mandate entrusted to it by virtue of the law.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the NIHR, especially in the field of supporting efforts aiming to protect and promote human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
