NIHR Receives a Delegation from the Swedish Parliament
Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received a delegation from the Swedish Parliament on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the work of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, in the presence of a number of members of the Council of Commissioners.
During the meeting, Al-Derazi gave an overview of the NIHR's Strategic Plan, and briefed the delegation on the mechanism for receiving complaints and providing advisory opinions to the competent authorities, as well as the parallel reports and recommendations that the NIHR submits to the treaty bodies of the Human Rights Council.
For their part, the delegation expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the NIHR to promote and protect human rights, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.
