NIHR organizes an Event entitled “Protect Your Heart”

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in cooperation with the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health, organized an educational event for its staff under the title “Protect Your Heart”, at its headquarters in the Seef district, to examine the staff working on chronic non-communicable diseases and the associated risk factors, in order to raise awareness about the importance of periodic examinations for the early detection of chronic diseases and the importance of following healthy lifestyles and providing a healthy working environment in the different work sectors.


During the event, the employees will be checked with modern mobile devices to detect harmful and useful types of cholesterol as well as the triglycerides, blood pressure, weight, height and body mass indicator, and to measure carbon monoxide ratio in the breath.  After that, a number of specialists will give medical advice based upon check-up results.

This event comes within the framework of the awareness programs implemented by the NIHR based upon its belief in the importance of employee as a productive element in the community, whose health and safety must be maintained through obtaining guidance and advice and following dietary and physical lifestyles for a healthy stable life.
