NIHR has trained 1981 People this Year

Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel, Secretary-General of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), said that the NIHR had trained 655 people in the 3rd quarter this year, with the total of 1981 people in the 1st three quarters of 2018.

Dr. Al Fadhel said that the beneficiaries of the NIHR educational and training programs included law enforcement agencies, academic, advisory and trade union organizations, civil society organizations, youth, students of public and private schools and universities, human rights defenders, private and commercial institutions and beneficiaries of the special cooperation programs with the National Security Agency (NSA), amounting to 160 NSA members.

The training program, which is the main gateway for the promotion of the culture of human rights for all society groups, was implemented by a number of legal and human rights staff in order to achieve the objectives stated in international, regional and national human rights mechanisms that promote human rights awareness in accordance with the best human rights practices.
