NIHR meets Law Students in Royal University for Women

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) received in the Training Center in its headquarters in Seef District the first batch of the cooperation program with the College of Law in Royal University for Women (RUW), in a step to activate the memorandum of understanding with the College to support the human rights program in line with the NIHR’s role in disseminating and promoting a culture of awareness of the respect for human rights among members of the society.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al-Fadel, Secretary-General of the NIHR, who welcomed the students, stressing the importance of this program that will contribute to increasing the legal and human rights skills necessary to engage in the labor market and respond to its requirements, with a view to achieving the goal of contributing to serving the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing all the participants success.

The program features the participation of a number of specialist cadres in this field from the staff of the NIHR and will continue for a full semester, three days a week.  It will be attended by a number of students selected by the College of Law at the University.

This event falls within the mandate of the NIHR in the area of promotion and dissemination of human rights through holding lectures and educational and training courses for all segments of society, especially university students on subjects related to human rights.
