NIHR discusses Issues of Common Interest with the Embassy of Canada
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Chairperson, Ms. Maria Khoury, received Mrs. Angele Lu, First Secretary of the Embassy of Canada accredited to the Kingdom in Riyadh. Ms. Maria Khoury welcomed Mrs. Angele Lu and briefed her on the NIHR and its role in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting was attended by a number of the members of the Council of Commissioners and the Secretary-General of the NIHR. The meeting addressed issues of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
For her part, Mrs. Lu expressed her deep thanks to the NIHR’s Chairperson and members for the good reception, appreciating the NIHR’s great role that contributes to the development of the standard of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
