Board holds Second Ordinary Meeting

The Board of Directors of the National Institution for Human Rights held its Second Ordinary Meeting under the Chairmanship of His Excellency, Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, at its headquarters in Seef District on June 1.
The meeting reviewed members’ comments on its Annual Report and approved its publication and translation procedures.
The Board reviewed the report of the NIHR delegation visiting the Reform and Rehabilitation Centre and amendments were made before it was submitted to the authorities.
Chairperson of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Maria Khoury, briefed the Board on requests for assistance received and action taken on those requests.
The Board also agreed to hold its next meeting on July 1.
