NIHR Board holds 12th Meeting

The Board of Directors of the National Institution for Human Rights held its 12th Ordinary Meeting under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, at its headquarters in Seef District.
During the meeting, members of the Board welcomed Royal Order No. 14 for the year 2014\, appointing Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel as Board Member and wished him success in protecting human rights in Bahrain.
The Board was briefed on complaints and requests for assistance received by the organization during the past month by its Vice President and Chairman of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee, Abdullah Ahmad Alderazi, who also provided an overview of the NIHR participation in discussions on the third report of Bahrain's hearing before the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), held on February 11, 2014 at the United Nations in Geneva.
