NIHR Council of Commissioners Convenes its 15th Regular Meeting

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has presided the 15^th meeting of the NIHR Council of Commissioners, in the presence of heads of the NIHR permanent committees and the NIHR Secretary-General.

During the meeting, Al-Derazi reviewed the results of the International Conference on the Committee, which was organised by the NIHR last week, stating that the conference has achieved its goals, was able to shed light on the challenges facing the enjoyment of the right to the environment, developed a number of solutions and came up with important final recommendations, which the Board office decided to circulate to all the participants after being revised and audited to start to follow them up. The participants also discussed holding a number of training workshops on the mechanisms of action of the national human rights institutions and the extent of application of the Paris Principles regulating the work of those institutions, during the coming period.
