Council of Commissioners holds its 13th meeting

The NIHR's Council of Commissioners office held its 13th meeting under the chairpersonship of Dr. Abdul-Aziz Hassan Abel, President of NIHR Council of Commissioners. The office discussed the comments of the Sub-Committee for Approval in the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) included in the national report of the Sub-Committee published on the website thereof.
In addition, the office discussed the contents of the initial draft of the parallel report of the NIHR regarding the recommendations of the work team concerned with the regular comprehensive presentation in preparation for writing the draft report and approval thereof by the Council of Commissioners. It should be noted that February 2017 was scheduled as date for the regular comprehensive presentation for the Kingdom of Bahrain in the 3rd round thereof.
In addition, the office reviewed the preparations related to the side-activity to be held by the NIHR entitled "The role of the NIHR in promoting and enhancing the economic, social and culture rights within Kingdom of Bahrain" on the sidelines of the 33rd round of the Council of Human Rights to be held in the Palace of Nations in Geneva mid next September.
