Meeting

The Committee on Public Rights and Freedom convened its 32nd meeting remotely, under the chairmanship of Dr. Fawzia Saeed Al-Saleh, with Dr. Bader Mohammad Adel and Mr. Daniel Cohen as members. It commenced by discussing the committee's opinion on the proposed law amending certain provisions of Law No. (19) of 2006, which regulates the market. This discussion falls within the committee's jurisdiction to study the legislation and systems in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain related to human rights. The committee recommends amendments as deemed necessary, especially concerning the alignment of this legislation with the Kingdom's international human rights obligations.

Furthermore, the committee reviewed the actions taken in response to its previous decisions and recommendations. It also assessed progress related to its proposals for coordinating a series of awareness-raising events. Emphasis was placed on the Foundation's role in protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
