Civil & Political Rights Committee held its 3rd meeting

Civil and Political Rights Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights held its 3rd meeting on Thursday, April 11, 2013 Headed by HE Ms. Jamila Ali Salman, and the membership of HE Mr. Farid Ghazi Rafie and HE Mr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Al-Tayeb.
During the meeting, the minutes of the previous meeting was approved and a number of issues were discussed concerning the age of the child, its conformity with the applicable national legislation and international standards, in addition to the right of Bahraini women to gain Bahrain nationality for their children in accordance with the rules prescribed in this regard. The Committee also reviewed the preliminary perception on a number of points that can be addressed in the workshops held the National Institution for human Rights.
