Civil & Political Rights Committee held its 4th meeting

Civil and Political Rights Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights held its 4th meeting on Thursday, May 16, 2013 Headed by HE Ms. Jamila Ali Salman, and the membership of HE Mr. Farid Ghazi Rafie and HE Mr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Al-Tayeb.
During the meeting, the minutes of the previous meeting was approved and the committee continued discussing the right of Bahraini women to gain Bahrain nationality for their children in accordance with the rules prescribed in this regard.
The committee also reviewed a paper presented by HE Mr. Farid Ghazi Rafie on increasing the age of the juvenile mentioned in juveniles law and the subsequent precautionary measures thereof. It was decides to continue the discussion at the next committee meeting to be held on June 13, 2013.
