Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on General Rights and Freedoms has convened its 21^st meeting via teleconference under the chairpersonship of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and membership of Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Alhaddad and
Mrs. Wedad Radhi Almoosawi.

The Committee opened its meeting by reviewing all its previous decisions and recommendations and the actions taken thereupon, pointing out that it will continue to develop proposals for round-table activities aimed at promoting and protecting human rights.  The Committee then began studying the legislative or regulatory systems that exist on the mechanism of the transfer of an expatriate worker to another sponsor and the consequences on the former one.
