NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms is convening its 14th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms has convened its 14th regular meeting at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district, under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Ahmed Subah Al-Saloom.
The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the actions taken with regard to its decisions and recommendations, where the Committee suggested preparing an awareness programme entitled “Providing Convicts with Alternative Sanctions” for those to whom alternative sanctions will be applied, within the programme supervised by the NIHR.
At the end of the meeting, the Committee suggested shedding light on the upcoming parliamentary and municipal elections in the media, where the Committee stated the importance of educating the voter about the importance of participation, which is one of the human rights.
