NIHR’s Committee on Civil and Political Rights convenes its 13th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Civil and Political Rights convened its 13th regular meeting under the head of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and member of Ms. Deena Abdulrahman Alladhi and Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Alhaddad. The meeting was held at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District.
During the meeting, the Committee discussed all resolutions and recommendations concluded at its previous meeting and the actions taken in their regard.
The Committee also discussed the request submitted by the Council of Representatives regarding the opinion of the NIHR on the amendment of article (2) of the Law No. (58) of 2006 on the Protection of the Community against Terrorist Acts, which ended in agreement with the opinion contained in the memorandum referred by the Council of Representatives.
