NIHR’s Committee on General Rights and Freedoms Convenes its 23rd Regular Meeting

Under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Alsaleh, and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Daniel Cohen, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on General Rights and Freedoms has convened its 23rd regular meeting at the NIHR headquarters in the Seef district.
The Committee opened its agenda by reviewing and evaluating the outcomes of the round-table activities recently organised by the NIHR and the recommendations made by its participants, in preparation for forwarding them to the concerned authorities.
The Committee also reviewed the proposal submitted by the House of Representatives with regard to requesting the opinion of the NIHR on adding a new article to the Traffic Law No. (23) of 2014, and its compatibility with international standards related to human rights.
