NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms Convenes its 16th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms has convened its 16th regular meeting at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district, under the chairpersonship of Dr. Fawzeya Saeed Al-Saleh and membership of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and Mr. Daniel Cohen.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Committee reviewed its previous resolutions and recommendations, and the actions taken thereupon. Then it studied the NIHR’s views on the Law of Domestic Workers, which was prepared considering the draft submitted by the House of Representatives, as it works to update it according to what the NIHR monitors in this regard.
The NIHR also discussed its proposal to prepare a video clip on raising awareness about the importance of the right to vote and to run during the upcoming elections, which shows the conditions for candidacy and the previous, contemporary, and upcoming stages of the electoral process.
