NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms holds its 1st Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms held its 1st regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Dr. Bader Mohamed Adel and membership of Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Alhaddad and Mrs. Wedad Radhi Almoosawi at the NIHR’s headquarters in Seef district.
The Committee reviewed and discussed a number of resolutions and recommendations of the former Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, as well as the actions that would be taken thereon and the best methods for their implementation.
The Committee also discussed an advisory opinion on the rights of the elderly to an adequate standard of living and submitted it to the Chairperson of the NIHR.
