NIHR’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms convenes its 4th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Public Rights and Freedoms convened its 4th regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Dr. Badr Mohamed Adel. The meeting, which was held at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District, was attended by Committee members Mr. Ahmed Mahdi Al-Haddad and Mrs. Wedad Radi Al-Moosawi
The meeting opened with appreciation of the Royal Decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the State, appointing a number of members to the Board of Commissioners of the NIHR under Royal Decree No. (36) of 2019, stressing that the NIHR will continue its human rights work to promote and uphold the values of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to contribute effectively in raising awareness of them.
The Committee discussed the outcomes of the meeting held between a delegation of the NIHR and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, which aimed to identify the current systems and approaches applicable in integrating the special education category of students in public schools where the Committee praised the fruitful outcome of the meeting on the agreement on extending bridges of cooperation between both sides serve in order to serve and benefit the homeland and the citizens.
