Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee held its 19th Ordinary meeting

Economic, Social and Cultural Committee of the National Institution for Human Rights held its 19th ordinary meeting on Monday, October 13, 2014 under the chairpersonship of HE Dr. May Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, and the membership of HE Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel at the headquarters of the National Institution in Alseef district. The committee resumed discussions on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and the relevant authorities expected to implement it particularly the recommendations related to temporary special measures and stereotypes. The Committee reached a number of observations and recommendations and shall continue discussing recommendations related to violence against women, trafficking, exploitation and prostitution in the next ordinary meeting.
