NIHR’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities Convenes its 21st Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities has convened its 21st regular meeting, under the chairpersonship of D. Malallah Jaafar Al-Hammadi and membership of Mrs. Hala Ramzi Fayez and D. Hooreya Abbas Hassan, where the Committee opened its agenda by reviewing the course of its visit to the Correction and Rehabilitation Centre for women in Isa region, where it praised the quality of public services and social care provided to the inmates.
The Committee also discussed the course of its recent visit to the Correction and Rehabilitation Centre in the Jaw region, which came in response to requests for assistance and complaints received regarding health services and the standard of living of the inmates, where the Committee prepared its report on the two visits and made its recommendations on them.
