NIHR’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities Convenes its 29th Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Visiting Detention Places and Facilities has convened its 28th regular meeting, under the chairpersonship of D. Malallah J. Al-Hammadi, and membership of Mrs. Hala Ramzi Fayez and D. Hooreya Abbas Hassan, at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district.
The Committee has opened its agenda by reviewing the actions taken with regard to its previous resolutions and recommendations. During the meeting, the Committee discussed the outcomes of the visits conducted by it during the last period, including the visit to Junior Convicts building at the Dry Dough region, the recommendations contained in the visit report, and the extent to which the concerned parties apply the provisions and procedures contained in the Children's Restorative Justice Act.
