Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee Holds its Fourth Meeting

The NIHR’s Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee held its fourth ordinary meeting on Tuesday, 21 May 2013 headed by H.E. Dr. Fawzeya Saed Al Saleh. The meeting was held at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District and attended by Committee Members H.E. Dr. Mai Suleiman Al Otaibi and H.E. Mr. Abdul-Jabar Ahmed Al Tayeb at National Institution for Human Rights
During the meeting, the Committee approved the minutes of the previous meeting and discussed the letter received by NIHR from Bahrain Women Union requesting assistance to overcome some obstacles they are facing. In addition, the Committee studied some issues of local interest such as the program of restoration and rebuilding dilapidated houses and the deteriorating environmental situation in Buhair Valley in the Central Governorate.
