Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee holds its 23rd Meeting

The NIHR's Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee held its 23rd ordinary meeting on Monday, 23rd February 2014 headed by HE. Dr. Mai Suleiman Al Otaibi. The meeting was held at the NIHR's headquarters in the in Seef District and was attended by the Committee Members HE. Dr. Fawzeya Saed Al Saleh and HE. Dr. Badr Mohammed Adel.
During its meeting, the Committee discussed the general recommendations of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and reviewed report prepared by the Secretariat-General on the extent of Government's consideration of the NIHR's recommendations included in its first annual report for 2013 in the section related to the CEDAW Convention. In this regard, the Committee concluded by some opinions and suggestions and decided to complete its discussion on the same issue in its next regular meeting.
