Meeting

The NIHR’s Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights held its third meeting on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 under the chairmanship of Dr. Fouzia Saeed Al-Saleh. The meeting, which was held at the NIHR’s headquarters in the Seef District, was also attended by HE Dr. May Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, HE Mr. Abdul Jabbar Ahmed al-Tayeb.

During the meeting, the Minutes of the previous meeting as well as those of the extraordinary meeting were approved. The Committee also discussed its work strategy for the promotion of economic, social and cultural rights by putting forward several ideas about projects the Committee wishes to adopt, such as economic exploitation of children and carrying out a study related to the right of imprisoned persons to education. It was agreed the Committee is to continue its discussions on these topics in its next meeting.
