The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Holds its 5th Regular Meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights holds its 5th regular meeting under the chairpersonship of Mr. Farid Ghazi and membership of Dr. Abdulrrahman Jawaheri and Dr. Jameela Al-Sammak at NIHR headquarters in Seef District.
The Committee reviewed its opinion on proposal to amend Article (45) of Act No. (23) of 2014 on issuing the Traffic Law based upon the request of Council of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security. The Committee also carefully followed-up all resolutions and recommendations issued in its recent meetings and what has been done on them, including amendment of the stipulations of Articles (1), (6) and (7) of Law No. (27) of 2005 on extension of the age of compulsory education to include secondary stage.
