NIHR Organises an Awareness Lecture for Students of Al-Wisam International School
The National institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in cooperation with Al-Wisam International School, has organised an awareness lecture for a group of male and female students of middle stage at the school and their parents, which was presented by Dr. Hourria Hassan, Commissioner for Children’s Rights at the NIHR, in which she introduced the NIHR and its role in the enhancement and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain in general. She also introduced the powers of the Commissioner for Children's rights and her role in achieving further promotion and protection for children's rights in the Kingdom in particular. She also dealt with a number of concepts related to human rights and children's rights in international and national charters.
This event comes within the framework of community partnership with educational institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the NIHR's strategy and action plan aimed at spreading awareness of the principles and foundations of human rights for all segments of society.
