The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in collaboration with Zain Bahrain, the official sponsor of the event, organized a workshop titled "Protect Yourself from Cyber Exploitation" at the training center located at the NIHR’s headquarters. The workshop was designed to raise awareness about the risks of cyberspace and how to protect against them, with a special focus on children.

The workshop kicked off with a session titled 'Meet the Child Rights Commissioner', where Dr. Hooreya Aldairi, the Child Rights Commissioner, delivered a detailed presentation on human rights and the role of the NIHR, emphasizing the importance of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This was followed by a session titled 'How to Protect Yourself in Cyberspace', presented by Major Engineer Fawz Mohammed, head of the Child Protection Unit in Cyberspace at the Ministry of Interior. She elucidated the techniques for protection against cyber threats and the necessary procedures to report extortion and exploitation.
The third session, 'Psychological and Social Effects of Cyber Extortion', was conducted by Ms. Fakhriya Shubar from the Ministry of Social Development. She explored the psychological impacts of extortion, such as anxiety and isolation, and discussed the role of families and relevant authorities in supporting victims.
The workshop concluded with a session titled "Protect Yourself from Cyber Harassment," presented by Ms. Huda Al Mahdi, a children's trainer, who demonstrated protection strategies through interactive workshops that help children learn safe methods of using the Internet.

As the official sponsor of the event, Zain Bahrain provided gifts to the participating children, thereby enhancing their experience and fostering positive engagement throughout the workshop.
