Within the framework of community partnership with educational institutions, and in line with its role in spreading and promoting a culture of awareness of respect for human rights among members of society, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has launched its training programme for the Legal and Human Rights Clinic students in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the first semester (2022-2023) at the NIHR headquarters in Seef district.
Mrs. Latifa Al-Jalahma, Director of the NIHR Legal Affairs and Training Department, welcomed the participating students, and gave a detailed explanation about the training mechanism in the Legal Clinic and the programme’s main topics, including general information about human rights and basic freedoms and the national, regional and international mechanisms for the protection of human rights.
The programme, which continues until January 2023, will be implemented by a number of legal and human rights specialists, with the participation of a number of students who were selected by the Legal Clinic of the University of Bahrain.
