NIHR, in cooperation with the BIPD organized an introductory visit for participants in (Itqan Program) to the NIHR's headquarters.
In an effort to enhance legal awareness among university students, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) teamed up with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) to host an introductory visit for participants in the National Practical Training Program (Itqan) at NIHR’s headquarters. During the visit, Ms. Fatima Al-Tarif, Head of the Training and Education Department, warmly welcomed the students and gave a brief overview of the main themes of the visit and the introductory lecture delivered by various specialists from the General Secretariat.
The lecture highlighted several key topics, including the establishment of NIHR and its significant role in promoting human rights in Bahrain, as well as the institution's ongoing efforts to raise awareness of fundamental rights and ensure their effective implementation on the ground. The presentation also covered the institution's role in protecting human rights, the mechanisms it employs to receive and address complaints, and how it handles human rights cases to ensure timely and effective responses.
The visit, which was part of Itqan Program activities, enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of the role of law and institutions in enhancing and protecting human rights. The students appreciated the quality of information provided and the interactive approach of the lecturers during the visit.
