NIHR organized an introductory lecture in cooperation with the Sri Lankan Embassy
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) held an introductory lecture in cooperation with the Sri Lankan Embassy accredited in the Kingdom. The lecture focused on the role of NIHR and the key laws concerning expatriate labor. Mrs. Hala Ramzi Faiz, a member of the Council of Commissioners, presented the lecture. She discussed the NIHR's responsibilities and the mechanism for filing complaints, emphasizing its crucial role in enhancing and protecting human rights, particularly for expatriate workers.
This initiative aims to improve communication between the institution and various foreign communities in Bahrain, striving to achieve the highest levels of protection and support in human rights matters. The lecture specifically targeted members of the Sri Lankan community, many of whom participated in this awareness-raising event.
