NIHR organizes an awareness lecture for members of the Bahraini Lawyers Association
As part of its commitment to spreading human rights culture among various segments of society and enhancing awareness of national, regional, and international standards related to human rights, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) organized an awareness lecture for members of the Bahraini Lawyers Association, as part of implementing the memorandum of understanding between the two parties.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Bader Mohammed Adel, a member of the of the Council of Commissioners, and titled "The Role of Lawyers in Protecting the Rights of Persons Whose Liberty is Restricted according to International Human Rights Standards and National Legislation." It focused on three main axes: general concepts of the applicable law in the field of human rights, primary guarantees for persons whose liberty is restricted in detention centers, and defining the role of lawyers in ensuring the rights of this important group.
