NIHR Organises a Lecture for Gulf University Students

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), has organised an awareness lecture for a number of male and female students from the Gulf University at its NIHR’s Headquarters in the Seef District in order to identify its role in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The lecture was presented by a number of specialists in the Legal Affairs Department and the Call Centre and Complaints Reception at the NIHR, in which they introduced the concept of human rights in general, the legal framework of the NIHR's work and its competencies and the role assigned to it in accordance with its Establishment Law in the field of protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the mechanism of receiving complaints, investigating them, referring them to the competent authorities, and informing those concerned with procedures.

This event is among the training programs organised by the NIHR in cooperation with academic bodies based on its role in spreading and promoting a culture of human rights among all segments of society, and in implementation of the strategy and plan of its work.
