NIHR Participates in a Seminar on “The Role of the Media in Protecting the Child during the Coronavirus Pandemic”
Within the framework of joint cooperation and coordination between the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and the regional and international institutions, Mrs. Latifa Al-Jalahma, Director of NIHR’s Legal Affairs and Training Department, participated in a remote seminar entitled “The Media and its Role in Protecting the Child during the Coronavirus Pandemic”, which was organized by the National Office for Human Rights and the National Society for the Protection of Child Rights in the State of Kuwait.
During her participation, Ms. Latifa presented a worksheet on protecting children's rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), "Achievements and Challenges", through which she touched on the NIHR’s role in promoting and protecting human rights in light of the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), the impact of the pandemic on the right of the child in the area of education and health, and the great measures and efforts taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to combat this pandemic, through which it has taken into consideration human rights in general, and the right of the child in particular.
