NIHR hosts Students from Gulf University
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), in line with its role in disseminating and promoting human rights culture among all segments of society, hosted students taking human rights courses from the Gulf University to brief them on the NIHR's role in the promotion and protection of human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain and its competencies pursuant to its Incorporation Law.
Mr. Mohammed Al Najjar, Head of the NIHR's Legal Affairs Unit, gave an introductory lecture on the legal framework of the NIHR's functions and competencies, as well as the mechanism of accreditation of national institutions and the difference between them and other national mechanisms.
This event is part of the events and training programs organized by the NIHR in cooperation with academic bodies in implementation of its strategy and action plan in order to inform the academics and students of its functions and services in the human rights area.
