NIHR receives interns from the General Directorate of Traffic on an exploratory visit
To further develop productive collaboration between the National Human Rights Institution (NIHR) and the General Directorate of Traffic under the Ministry of Interior, NIHR welcomed a group of interns from the Directorate for an introductory visit. The visit was designed to introduce them to NIHR’s role in promoting and safeguarding human rights within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the visit, experts from NIHR's General Secretariat provided an overview of the institution’s legal framework, its primary responsibilities, and its specific tasks. A detailed presentation was also made about the Institution's contact center, which handles complaints, offers legal assistance, and oversees court sessions to ensure fair trials.
The presentation additionally encompassed a variety of topics concerning the operational mechanisms of the institution and its continuous efforts to educate and increase awareness of human rights among the population.
