NIHR concludes its Awareness Program for the employees of the NCC
The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) has concluded its awareness program on human rights, which was held in cooperation with the National Contact Center (NCC) and targeted the center's employees. This program is part of the NIHR's strategic and operational plan to disseminate and promote the culture of human rights.
The program included three lectures delivered over three consecutive weeks, addressing various topics aimed at enhancing capacities and raising awareness about the importance of defending human rights and implementing them in local communities.
Dr. Malallah Al Hammadi, a member of the Council of Commissioners, gave one of the lectures, focusing on the role of national mechanisms in enhancing and protecting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Another lecture was given by Dr. Bader Mohammed Adil, also a member of the Council of Commissioners, who discussed international mechanisms for enhancing and protecting human rights. Dr. Lulwa bint Ahmed Al Khalifa, an assistant professor at the Law College of the University of Bahrain, delivered the third lecture, which explored the historical development of human rights and intellectual freedoms and their impact on contemporary societies.
At the program's conclusion, participants expressed their appreciation for the valuable information they received and highlighted the importance of such events, which are part of the institution's continuous efforts to build the capacities of workers across various sectors and equip them with the necessary knowledge to effectively address human rights issues.
